When our youngest child when away to school I went from juggling work, carpool, sporting events and our busy family to working at home alone with the dog and a pretty empty schedule. My husband was working late and traveling more without feeling the need to rush home for family dinners or sporting and school events. The first semester I was pretty lost and saddened by the quiet house, quiet evenings and empty calendar. In January, after our son went back to start his Spring semester, I started to reevaluate many aspects of our life. We started traveling more together, I started making time to do things I had put off and wonderful things began to happen.

I hope to share our wonderful experiences, what we've learned and the joy we've discovered along the way.

Our Story

We’re Jon and Lisa Fisher. We’ve been married for 33 years and have two wonderfully independent kids, a great son-in-law, an adorable granddaughter and grandson.

We began this adventure when our youngest child went off to boarding school for high school. We knew it would mean big changes but we didn’t know what a wonderful adventure was ahead of us.
